Splendid Skies – Autumn 1

high above land and sea on a bed of clouds, silently sweeping by on a billowing breeze.

Back down to earth the children will be walking outdoors. exploring the weather and its effects.

We will be writing poems and postcards too. Messages to float away on a balloon hoping for someone to reply!

What weather do you prefer? Sunshine, snow, storms or showers? Get your wellingtons on ….Let’s go!

Bright Lights Big City – Autumn 2

Put on your outfit because you are invited to have tea with the Queen! Use your best manners and comb your hair, as one will not be amused if you don’t!

We will be finding out about England’s capital city, including famous landmarks and transport. Let’s take a trip back in time and discover what happened in the Great Fire of London. We will meet Marley Meercat all the way from Zambia! He’s new in town and we need to make sure he takes in all the sights and sounds before he stops to see his family at London Zoo.

Hop in a black cab and let’s enjoy the ride!

Paws Claws and Whiskers – Spring 1

Soft fur, twitching whiskers. What’s your favourite animal?

We will be exploring animals from pets at home to wild animals in the zoo. We will discover how they eat, sleep and live. Let’s investigate food chains and see who eats what and who! Who is a herbivore and who is a carnivore. Let’s explore how to care for them all!

Rio De Vido – Spring 2

Hot, hot, hot! Dancing feet step to the samba beat. Join us down in Rio for a carnival of imaginative skills and creative design. Creating our own bright and decorative headdresses, party masks and shaking instruments to help us move the Latino beat.

Superheroes – Summer 1

KERPOW! Intergalactic greetings, young heroes. It’s time to rescue the planet from the evil villains!

Who’s your favourite superhero? Spider-Man? Wonder Woman? Maybe your heroes are ordinary people who’ve achieved great things. Or is it those people who save lives in our emergency services that you admire most?

Superheores have super senses. Use yours to identify mystery items by their smell, taste, touch and sound. What do true superheroes eat to keep their senses and special powers sharp?

Can we stop the dastardly plans of Professor Slime? He’s dropping his villainous instructions around town. We must stop people following them, but can we make it in time?

Is that phone box free? Please excuse me…I have to save the world! ZAP! WHIZZ! ZOOOOM!

Dinosaur Planet – Summer 2

Stomp, Crash, RRRAGH!!!!! Watch out everyone the dinosaurs are on the prowl!

We will explore the dinosaur planet, as palaeontologists (scientists who explore bones and fossils) discovering dinosaur facts. Which are your favourite dinosaurs ? Why ? Are they in our dinosaur museum? Come and look.
