SMSC stands for spiritual, moral, social and cultural development. All schools in England must show how well their pupils develop in SMSC. At St James, SMSC development is an integral part of how our children learn, achieve and conduct themselves. We are committed to ensuring opportunities are given to children to enhance their SMSC development. Pupils are given clear messages about expected behavior, consequences of unwanted actions and our staff reinforce these principles through SEAL and our core values.
